What does ForthClear cost?
Free to list. We charge a 5% platform fee only when you make a sale. Buyers pay no additional fees.
Do I need Shopify to sell?
No. You can sell on ForthClear without Shopify. Sign up directly and upload products via CSV/Excel or add them manually.
How does the escrow work?
When a buyer pays, Stripe holds the funds. After the buyer confirms delivery (or 14 days pass), funds are released to the seller minus the 5% fee.
What products can I sell?
Surplus, overstock, returned items, end-of-line products, and slow-moving inventory. No prohibited items (weapons, counterfeit goods, etc.).
Can buyers request custom quotes?
Yes. Buyers can request quotes for specific quantities. Sellers receive notifications and can accept, counter-offer, or decline through our messaging system.
Do you ship internationally?
Sellers manage their own shipping. Many sellers ship internationally. The platform provides tariff estimates for cross-border transactions.
